Playing into a powerful wind in the opening half, the Blues faced difficult conditions that limited their attacking opportunities. Despite this, the players showed great character and teamwork, working hard for each other and taking their chances well when they came.
At the break, the coaches emphasised the role the wind had played and encouraged the team to use it to their advantage in the second half. Naturally, the wind dropped after the restart — but that didn’t stop the Blues from continuing their impressive display. The team maintained their high level of work rate, commitment, and team play, making it difficult for their opponents to create clear chances.
It was a real team effort from start to finish, with every player contributing. While Drogheda B&G FC doesn’t usually highlight individuals, special mention goes to Jamie Brady, who was in fine form and made a significant impact in front of goal.
A hugely encouraging performance from the U10 Blues, full of teamwork, determination, and positive football. Well done to all involved!
