Drogheda Boys & Girls FC is delighted to announce Max of the U11 Blue team as our Player of the Month for March!
Max was selected from a strong group of nominees across the club, all of whom have shown exceptional effort and dedication. However, it was Max’s consistency, courage, and leadership—both on and off the pitch—that truly set him apart.
🔵 A Leader in Action
Max is a quiet yet commanding presence in the U11 squad. He attends every training session and match, always arriving on time and ready to give his best. His coach, Deborah Doran, praised his bravery and determination, sharing that Max regularly puts his body on the line in matches and never backs down from a challenge.
In March, he was chosen to captain the team and led by example, showing maturity well beyond his years. During one game, he even took a ball to the face, but continued playing without complaint—earning the admiration of teammates and coaches alike.
🙌 Off-the-Pitch Role Model
Max’s contribution goes beyond his playing ability. He’s known for his positive attitude, respectful behavior, and eagerness to learn. Always engaged in sessions, he’s not afraid to ask questions to better understand drills and tactics—an impressive sign of his commitment to improving.
His coach described him as “a quiet chap, but a leader,” and highlighted the strong sense of respect and pride his teammates have for him
