Drogheda Boys & Girls FC has made the decision to ban the use of mini shin guards with immediate effect, in the best interests of player safety.
Proper shin guards are a critical part of a footballer’s equipment, providing essential protection against injuries such as bruises, cuts, and fractures. It is vital that all players wear correctly-sized, full-coverage shin guards that offer the necessary protection for training and matches.
Effective immediately, any player who does not wear appropriate shin guards will not be permitted to participate in training sessions or matches.
We ask all parents and guardians to ensure their child is equipped with suitable shin guards before attending any club activity. Coaches will be enforcing this rule without exception to maintain the highest safety standards across all age groups.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep our players safe.
