Day 1 of the DBGFC Mini World Cup 2025 was a resounding success, with players across the Senior, Intermediate, and Junior age groups lighting up the pitches with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared love of the game.
From the opening kick-offs to the final whistles, every match was played in the true spirit of the tournament – full of positivity, teamwork, and respect.
Senior Group
The Senior players brought great intensity and passion to the pitch, but always with a smile. Teams like 🇳🇱 Netherlands, 🇦🇷 Argentina, 🇳🇬 Nigeria, 🇫🇷 France, 🇧🇷 Brazil, 🇯🇵 Japan, 🇪🇸 Spain, and 🇩🇪 Germany showed real flair and determination, with every side contributing to an atmosphere of encouragement and fair play. With over 60 goals scored across the evening, there was no shortage of excitement, but more importantly, it was a day full of support, effort, and enjoyment for all involved.
Intermediate Group
The Intermediate matches were a fantastic display of teamwork and togetherness. 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇸🇨 Scotland, 🇺🇾 Uruguay, 🇧🇪 Belgium, 🇭🇷 Croatia, 🇲🇽 Mexico, and 🇦🇺 Australia all played with heart and commitment. Players supported one another through every pass, tackle, and celebration. The effort on show was matched only by the smiles, with teams enjoying the chance to play, connect, and grow together. No matter the outcomes, everyone walked off the pitch a winner.
Junior Group
Our youngest players delivered some of the biggest moments of joy on Day 1. 🇨🇮 Ivory Coast, 🇸🇳 Senegal, 🇮🇸 Iceland, 🇨🇦 Canada, 🇳🇿 New Zealand, and 🇸🇪 Sweden showed incredible spirit, bravery, and positivity. From high-fives after every goal to cheering each other on from the sidelines, the Junior games were packed with magical moments and brilliant displays of sportsmanship. It was clear that for these players, football is about fun, friendship, and feeling part of something special.
