The stage is set as our senior team return to competitive action, kicking off their 2025/26 Leinster Senior League Major 1 campaign at home against Phoenix FC.

There’s a real sense of optimism surrounding the squad — a mood that stems not just from a positive preseason under new management, but also from a strong finish to last season that ensured we retained our Major 1 status. That late push showcased the fight and resilience within the group, qualities that have carried through into preparations for the new campaign.

Over the summer, the squad has been refreshed with new signings and key returning players who have graced Marley’s Lane in years previous, bringing added strength, depth, and experience to all areas of the pitch. The preseason has been marked by high intensity, togetherness, and a clear sense of purpose — all signs pointing toward a squad ready to compete from day one.

Phoenix FC, a familiar and well-organised opponent, will be eager to spoil the party, but at home and buoyed by fresh momentum, our boys will be looking to start the season with a statement performance.
