Drogheda Boys & Girls FC will be holding a Grounds Clean-Up & Improvement Afternoon this Friday, and we need as many helping hands as possible to get the job done 💪
With filling stones arriving for the car park, this is a great opportunity to make a huge difference to the safety and appearance of Marley’s Lane for all our players and families.

⏰ From 2:30pm — any time you can give is appreciated

🔧 Jobs we hope to complete:
🚗 Car Park Improvements
- Spreading and levelling filling stones
- Filling potholes and ruts
- Improving entrance/exit areas
- Creating safer parking areas
🚶 Safety & Walkways
- Creating safe pedestrian routes
- Clearing trip hazards
- Keeping vehicles away from pitch areas
🌿 General Grounds Clean-Up
- Litter pick across the site
- Cutting back overgrowth and weeds
- Clearing debris around pitches and fences
⚽ Pitch & Astro Areas
- Tidying around pitch perimeters
- Cleaning astro entrances and fence lines
- Improving spectator areas
📦 Containers & Equipment Areas
- Tidying storage areas
- Removing broken/unwanted items
- Organising equipment
🏁 Entrance & First Impressions
- Cleaning and tidying the main entrance
- Improving overall appearance of the grounds
🧤 What to Bring (if you have them)
- Work gloves
- Rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows
- Brushes, loppers, hedge trimmers
- Hi-vis vest (if available)
- Any other useful tools
👉 If you don’t have tools — please still come along. Extra hands are always needed!
