We want to give all parents and members a clear update on where the club is right now and where we’re going over the next number of years.
🏗️ Facilities Update
Our changing room and toilet project has made significant progress in recent months:
- Planning permission secured
- Drainage solution agreed
- Modular units identified and costed
- Final certifications progressing
We are now in the final pre-construction phase. There are still a few key steps to complete (final design decisions, certifications, and utility connections), but we are getting very close to starting on-site.
We appreciate everyone’s patience — this project is essential to improving the experience for all players and teams.
⚽ Our Long-Term Development Plan
As a club, we are not just planning for today — we are planning for the future.
We are currently finalising a 15-year infrastructure development plan to 2041, and we hope to officially launch this to all members in the coming months.
The plan outlines a clear vision for the club, including:
- A full-size all-weather pitch (year-round training)
- A redeveloped grass match pitch with spectator facilities
- A permanent clubhouse with changing rooms and meeting spaces
This plan will allow us to grow from:
- 300+ players and 21 teams today
to - 500+ players and 30+ teams in the future
It also ensures a clear pathway for both boys and girls from early participation right through to adult football.
More details will be shared with members at the official launch.
📈 Club Growth & Current Challenges
The club has grown significantly in recent years and now supports:
- Over 300 players
- 21 teams across multiple age groups
While this growth is very positive, it also brings challenges:
- Limited training space, particularly during winter
- Heavy reliance on grass pitches
- Ongoing costs for astro rental and transport
These challenges highlight the importance of our development plan and the need to continue improving our facilities.
💰 Financial Reality
Running and growing the club comes with real costs.
Running and growing the club comes with real costs.
While we are in a stable position, most of our income is already committed to:
- Current facility projects
- Weekly astro rental
- Equipment, referees, and transport
To continue growing and deliver our development plan, we need to increase fundraising and club income.
🙌 Volunteers & Club Structure
One of the biggest challenges we face is volunteer involvement.
Currently, a small group of people are carrying a huge workload. To support the next phase of growth, we are introducing:
- A Development Committee (focused on facilities and grants)
- A Fundraising Committee (with representation from every team)
👉 Each team will be asked to nominate a parent or coach to get involved.
The goal is simple: shared effort = stronger club.
📅 Key Dates
- Club Awards Night – 14th May
- Mini World Cup – 16th–20th June
- July Trials – details to follow
🔵 Final Message
We’ve made huge progress as a club in a short space of time.
We now have:
✔ A clear plan
✔ Real momentum
✔ Growing demand
But the next step depends on all of us.
If we work together — as coaches, parents, and volunteers — we can build something really special for all of our players.
Thank you for your continued support 💙⚽:
