The race for silverware intensified on Day Two of the DBGFC Mini World Cup 2026 as teams battled for places in Saturdayโs knockout stages.
With the top four teams in each division qualifying for the Cup competition and the remaining four progressing to the Shield competition, every goal and every point mattered throughout another fantastic evening of football at Marleyโs Lane.

๐ช๐บ UEFA Nations
The UEFA division was incredibly competitive from start to finish. Spain topped the standings after an impressive evening, while Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands also secured Cup qualification after a series of strong performances.
Belgium narrowly missed out on the Cup despite winning all four of their matches, highlighting just how tight the standings became. Sweden, France and Italy will now look to make their mark in the Shield competition on Saturday.

CAF produced some of the highest-scoring football of the tournament so far. South Africa and DR Congo were outstanding throughout the evening, finishing as deserved Cup qualifiers alongside Zambia and Tunisia.
Morocco, Ghana, Egypt and Ivory Coast now move into the Shield competition, where theyโll all feel they have a genuine chance of lifting silverware.

๐ Asia Nations
The Asia Nations division delivered goals, drama and some incredible attacking displays. UAE, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan emerged as the top four nations and will contest Saturdayโs Cup competition through a round-robin semi-final stage.
Australia, Jordan, South Korea and Qatar progress into the Shield competition, where another round-robin format will decide who reaches the Shield and Plate Finals.
UAEโs remarkable attacking performances and Japanโs consistency throughout the evening make both nations strong contenders heading into Saturday.
๐ CONMEBOL Nations
South America proved every bit as competitive as expected. Argentina topped the standings with a perfect record, while Peru, Colombia and Venezuela joined them in the Cup competition.
Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia will now battle for Shield honours after several closely fought matches throughout the group stage.

With the group stages now complete, attention turns to Finals Day.
The Cup competitions will determine our Mini World Cup champions across UEFA, CAF, Asia Nations and CONMEBOL, while the Shield competitions ensure every team still has silverware to play for.
The standard of football has been exceptional over the opening two days, but the biggest prizes are still to be won.
