Drogheda Boys & Girls FC is delighted to launch Her Game Starts Here — a brand-new initiative designed to introduce more young girls to football and encourage them to become active, build confidence and make new friends.

We have noticed a decline in the number of girls taking their first steps into football, particularly at the younger age groups, and we want to change that.

The programme is open to girls born between 2017 and 2020.

Whether your daughter has never played football before or is simply looking for a fun new activity, everyone is welcome.

A FREE introductory football programme featuring:

⚽ Fun, friendly football sessions
 👭 Making new friends
 ⭐ Learning new skills
 💜 Building confidence
 🏃‍♀️ Getting active and enjoying sport

There are no trials, no previous experience required and no pressure — just come along and give football a go!

Every girl who registers for the programme will receive a brand-new Her Game Starts Here Erreà training kit completely FREE of charge.

We want to remove financial barriers and make sure every girl feels part of the programme from day one.

Our goal isn’t simply to increase club membership.

We want to get as many girls playing football as possible and give them the opportunity to experience the physical, social and mental wellbeing benefits that sport can provide.

Whether a girl continues her football journey with Drogheda Boys & Girls FC, another club or simply develops a lifelong love of being active, Her Game Starts Here will have achieved what it set out to do.
